Who we are
ABOUT.
Static Labs started in a period of in-between. No job, time on my hands, and a chest pack I was sewing for canyoneering. Somewhere in that process came a realization — I could build something better for fishing too.
I'd been dissatisfied with what was on the market for years. Packs that were too big, too bulky, that got in the way — gear that felt like it was designed around a feature list instead of around the angler. So I started from scratch. Wrong pattern. Right idea. A year and a half of refinement later, we have the FP1.
I'm a product designer by training and a gear head by nature. I've always needed to know what works, why it works, and whether I could make it better. These products didn't exist — so someone had to make them. That someone became me.
Static Labs is built for the minimalist angler. The one who knows exactly which fly boxes they're bringing. Who moves light and moves often. Whether you're wading rivers, fishing from a boat, or running tenkara in tight water — this gear is for those who do more with less.

The FP1 is currently available for pre-order. Estimated ship date is Early Summer 2025. We'll email you as soon as your order ships.
The NH1 is made to order and ships within 3–5 business days. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as it's on its way.
The NH1 fits any landing net handle up to 1.25" in diameter — which covers the vast majority of wooden, composite, and carbon fiber handles. If you're unsure, measure your handle and email us before ordering.
One Size Fits Most. The FP1 accommodates chest sizes 34–45". The shoulder straps adjust with a single pull and lock in place. If you're outside that range, reach out and we'll advise.
The FP1 uses Challenge Ultragrid ripstop fabric with Dyneema reinforcement and YKK AquaGuard zippers. It's highly water resistant — not fully waterproof. Don't submerge it, but don't worry about rain or splash.

Hand wash in cold water with mild soap. Air dry completely. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Rinse thoroughly after salt water exposure. Store uncompressed in a cool, dry place.
